Tryon Mountain House: Sleeps 8-10, 3 bd 2.5 ba

This modern Tryon Mountain House is located on a semi-private crystal clear swimming lake near the top of Melrose Mountain. It is a spacious three story home with a large living and dining area, ideal for entertaining and/or quietly enjoying the spectacular views of the sunsets, mountains, woods and lake from the large picture windows and two decks.

There are additional views of the area from the kitchen, bedrooms and baths. Wooded paths on this 4.5 acre property lead from the house to the swimming lake and another to a community area with a rustic tennis court and second lake stocked for fishing.

Great House on Lake Lanier 5 minutes from downtown Tryon: Sleeps 11-12; available as 3br 2.5 ba or 4 br 3.5 ba

The Oar House has three levels. It can be rented with two master suites and 2.5 baths or with four bedrooms and 3.5 baths. The main level suite has a queen bed and the upper level suite has a queen bed, a daybed in the bedroom and a sitting room with a sofa that could sleep one. (It is not a sleeper sofa). Both suites have private baths. Both bedrooms have absolutely awesome views of the lake. The lower level has 2 bedrooms and a full bath. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other bedroom has a double bed and bunks. Both rooms have vanity sinks.

There are three wonderful decks to relax on and eat on if desired. There is also an eating bar in the living area with six bar stools and the dining room table seats 8 comfortably. The 1930s Lake Lanier Tea House is a very short drive or a pleasant walk to dinner on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and brunch on Sunday.

Downtown Tryon: 2 br+2.75ba – Sleeps 6-8

This house was built in 1923 as the original real estate office for the Tryon Development Company. It has the great room with the master on the main floor (king bed) with a sitting area (great mountain views) and 1/2 bath. Full bath also on main floor. The doors to the bedroom came out of a speakeasy from back in prohibition days. You can still buy Carolina moonshine in the area(so I hear). Upstairs there is large loft with a king size bed. At the top of the stairs , there is a bridge across to a small loft with a day bed, can open to twin beds. This house is a national treasure. We are privileged to own it and hope you will let us share it with you.
